A Reserve Bank of India (RBI) committee has suggested a Rs. 5,000 crore stressed asset fund for domestic micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a relief to small businesses hurt by demonetization, the goods and services tax and an ongoing liquidity crunch.
The centre also passed
1. FOF(Fund of Funds) : A Rs 10,000 crore Inorder to support Venture Capitalists or PE (private equity) investing in the MSME sector.
2. SIDBI’s role: Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) will be responsible for MSME's.
3. Distressed asset fund: A Rs.5000 Cr fund operates on the lines of the Textile Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS).

Japan gifted Imphal Peace Museum to Manipur to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Imphal, one of the fiercest battles of the Second World War, at Maibam Lokpa Ching popularly known as Red Hill (about 20 km southwest of Imphal).
The main attraction of the museum is a framed calligraphy by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan with the word ‘Peace’ or ‘Heiwa’ in Japanese which means an unfaltering hope for a peaceful future.
