Goku and Vegeta continue their battle with Jiren, while Android 17 and Top fight. Android 17 and Top engage in a beam clash, but Top begins to overpower him. Frieza intervenes and strikes Top repeatedly from behind, which allows Android 17 to overpower Top's blast. In the wake of the explosion, Top appears to have been defeated. However, he gets back up and powers up, exhibiting the same type of energy as a God of Destruction. Belmod explains that Top is a candidate to be Universe Eleven's next God of Destruction, which is why he can wield the same kind of power. Top unleashes his new power, which damages the fighting stage and breaks a large portion of it. Android 17 and Frieza attack Top repeatedly, but his power is now far superior to theirs, and Top easily defeats them both. Fortunately, they are able to stay on the fighting stage, but Top brutally beats Frieza and knocks him unconscious, before engaging in another beam clash with Android 17.
